Having the right people and infrastructure in place has been key to restoring confidence at St John the Apostle. As a Prep to Year 6 Catholic primary school in Tarneit West, the institution is guided by its values of relationship, community, outreach, learning and celebration. [1] Where wellbeing and good relationships are the bedrock of learning, the continuity of those providing technology support is just as important as the hardware they put in place.

After the school's experience with earlier providers, consistency mattered. We wanted St John the Apostle to know the people supporting it, and to know that those people understood both the school and the wider MACS setting.

That was the thinking when the school turned to Education Advantage for IT services in 2021. Founding Principal Simon Dundon said there were years of frustration with earlier providers; what was required was a level of reliability and trust that had been missing.

EA also worked alongside MACS at the school during the pilot of the CECV Edge and FortiGate security systems. This work connected the school’s local IT support with changes being introduced across the wider system.

The consistency of staffing at Education Advantage over many years has enabled us to build strong professional relationships. This continuity has fostered a deep understanding of our school's context, personnel, and evolving needs.
Simon Dundon, Principal

According to the school, EA has proven to be a highly collaborative and responsive partner. There has been a marked change from the dissatisfaction of the past to a steady working relationship where the team can be relied upon for day to day operations and sound advice on how to meet system expectations.

This kind of continuity is what allows for sensible planning down the track.
